Given the hype around elasticsearch, we cannot sit aside… We followed the training in July in the nice German city of Köln.
Both elasticsearch and Solr are based on Lucene and running in similar environments, so we quickly grasp the similarities and differences of both solutions. Both are great, having their own set of strengths!
We deliver the ELK stack (elasticsearch, logstash and kibana) with our search solutions in order to analyse and monitor in NRT (near-real-time) the behavior of the search solution.
Conclusion: we are now trained in Solr and elasticsearch, allowing us to offer the best advice to customers on which direction to take!
